Game description

Chess is a two-player strategy game with a simple objective: checkmate the opponent’s king. Each player commands an army of 16 pieces, each with unique movements. The game begins with pieces arranged on a checkered board of 64 squares. Moves are turn-based, with the goal to threaten the opponent’s king while protecting one’s own. To play, learn each piece’s moves: pawns advance forward, rooks traverse straight, knights in an ‘L’ shape, bishops diagonally, the queen in any direction, and the king one square at a time. Victory requires tactical thinking and foresight.
